copying ONLY color balance
i adjust the color balance on an image. i want to copy ONLY the color balance from that image to all of the other images. when i copy and paste the settings, it also applies the exposure that was applied to that individual image, therefore screwing up the exposure on all of the other images.
is this true? there is no way to apply only the color balance?
from the Help manual
"How can I apply white balance from one image to others?
Select an image with the white balance and color balance settings you
like. Copy them with Adjustments>Copy Adjustments in the menu bar.
Select the images you want to modify and use the Apply settings button
on the menu bar to paste the settings to the image."
Nope. Not really. Misinformation.

Go to the Adjustments tool tab. Deselect other settings in the list you don't wish to apply.
Note 1: the list with adjustments appears after you gave the copy command
Note 2: look at the copy options from the little triangle in the tool's title bar. Switching auto select off might make it more efficient due to not having to deselect frequently.0 -
on the Adjustments Clipboard using the tiny triangle to the right i get the drop down options of
close tool
select all
select none
select adjusted
expand all
collapse all
there is no "auto select" option0 -
Roger12,
You are perfectly right. I forgot that the Mac version, which I use most of the time, has an additional Autoselect Adjusted option. I have a Windows machine running most of the time when posting here, for comparison. This one slipped through. I apologize for the confusion. It reminds me to contact Phase One about it.0 -
this time. 😄
while we are on the subject is there a shortcut to deselect all images? I frequently select all of the images for editing or copying and then want to go back to a single image for more editing.0 -

Very kind 😉
As opposed to Select All (Ctrl+A) there is a Deselect All (Ctrl+Shift+A). It is also in the Edit menu.0
