Serious issues with 12.1. All my work gone.
I've been using Capture one pro for about a month now and just upgraded from 12.0.3? to 12.1. I successfully upgraded all of my sessions and everything seemed to be working fine. The first thing I noticed is that all of the editing I did outside of a session did not upgrade and was immediately wiped on opening in 12.1. Now I've noticed that edits done within sessions are also being wiped at random. I'm also having an issue with healing layers glitching out and switching back to adjustment layers.
I've lost about 50 hours of editing in total (my RAW files have not been lost). If I cannot find a solution I will be switching back to Lightroom and never returning.

I would guess something to do with permissions but suggest you contact the Capture One Support team by creating a Support Case and seek their advice and guidance.
Noite that this is intended as a User to User forum and not an official support channel.

I notice that when my Sessions were upgraded to 12.1, beside my file "xxxx.cosessiondb" (where xxxx is the session name), another file "xxxx.cosessiondb.backup" was created.
I reccomend that you carefully backup files like this, they are important to you.
If you reinstall Capture One 12.03, and rename the the "xxxx.cosessiondb.backup" to "xxxx.cosessiondb" , you would likely fully recover everything. But I'd craefully backup the whole works (the .cosessiondb, .cosessiondb.backup, and .cos files) before attempting a downgrade.0 -
Thanks for replies.
I've been working through the problem with the support team.
A fresh install of 12.1 did not solve the issue, but rolling back to 12.0.3 has fixed the main problem of the adjustments being wiped. Unfortunately, I've lost the adjustments of all of the images that were opened in 12.1 and was not able to restore anything from the .cosessiondb.backup
I'm hoping they'll be able to solve the problem so I don't have to stick with 12.0.3 forever.0 -
Just for clarity, any .cosessiondb file does not contain your image adjustments. It contains the organization of your session.
Your image adjustments are stored in the Capture One/Settings120 sub folder in your image folder. Unfortunately or apparently, CO12 prior to 12.1 can not read the adjustments from 12.10 -
I’m having the same problem and have sent three emails to support and have not heard anything. This is a major problem. 0 -
No such issue here... I can even open up very old sessions made with C1 9 and I still have all the edits. 0 -

What do you mean by "emails"?
If you wish for personalised technical support you should create a Support Case.
Is that what you did?0
