No Big Proformence from C1 8 to C1 9

CAPTURE NIKON DPRO1
i download the C1 9 Demo Test version and trainig to test it agenst my C1 8 version,
sorry to anounce this ...but . i didnt find a big diffrent prefomence chnages in C1 9 compered to my old C1 8
The Beachball ist stell keep spinning around in bothe version 🤬

antouther problem C1 9 wrote my Session Catalog that i could'nt open it agine in C1 8, 🤓
thnaks for Apple Time Mashinen i moved evrey thing back to C1 8

The Keywords function is gread i like it.
The Preformence is a littel better
The Color and HD looks the Same in C1 8.

i dont thing i pay 99 € for that ..

My Hardware :

Imac 27" midel 2011 SSD HD 24 RAM ...
OSX 10.11 last Update from Apple.

    Also, I hate the new colour look, at least with the Nikon D810. The tonality is different and not as good.. I'm a pro and rely on this software and there is no way of replicating the look of 8 in version 9. Can we at least have the option of using the old colour engine please Phase One?

    Looking at your computer specs you should probably start thinking about an upgrade. Not sure which camera you use, but the 2011 didn't have USB3?

    C1 9 has decent added features, luma curves on its own is worth it, and 99 Euros for something you use almost every day is certainly not a huge investment.

    In preferences, just set the engine to V8, and all new images coming in will be in the 8 engine. If you have a 9 engine image, and want it in 8 enging, just create a new variant.

    the main theme which iam focusing on,
    is performance otherwise color looks and new functions are also importing, phase one did a grade job, but i am reading in athours forums also ❗️
    and i tray it my self, the Beachball is verry irritating, this happens in C1 8 and now in C1 9 with the brand new update !
    is that means time for baying a new Apple computer, 😂 i am not using the usb 3 why schould i do that !
    i am saving direktly on HD with SDD Drive and athours Programms are working fin, Apple Fotos, Affinity Photos are working with highspeed on the Computer! HIMMMMMM

    Hi Capture Nikon D700 - you definitely need to look at your hardware before you look at the software. A 2011 iMac was not high end even in 2011. I don't think its unreasonable to expect software requirements to have increased in the last 5 years and I would say your current hardware just doesn't cut it.

    well i looked on my hardware
    its ok . because i testet lightroom cc6
    and photoshop they are working faster
    as i said apple fotos and affinity photos are
    working gread . the problem is c1 9
    and the mac grafic hardware.
    ok this is a pro version and need pro hardware
    i am dreaming like phase one .
    i am using one folder with 30000 images and xmp files

    It may be that expensive hardware will not even do it. Some people have purchased new top of the line iMacs and still have issues

    Im running a top spec (at the time, full upgrades) 2012 MBP 15" Retina and C1 runs fantastically smooth. Opening of my catalogue is a but lengthy in comparison to Lightroom but once in, everything runs great.

    Waiting with bated breath for Apple to release a new MBP with more than 16GB RAM...
