No more Preview Converter?
I love the new C1, only 2 minor gripes:
1)Before I upgraded to the 5.1.1, I used a utility called Preview Converter, which used the preview images to make JPEGs very quickly. I downloaded the latest version, but it doesn't appear to work any longer. Is there no longer a way to create quick JPEGs without going through the entire processing routine?
2)When tethered, I used to be able to shoot with just the return key, now it seems that I must use command K. Even my clients are complaining. (I know, it's minor)
Thanks!

Tim,
Sorry to disappoint on both accounts but neither are what they once were. The Preview Converter that once was simply converted the static previews from the proprietary Phase One format to JPEG. Since the preview files are not a bit more dynamic (the ability to zoom in and out) this conversion ability had to be sacrificed.
The ability to Capture using the Enter button also is no more. The keyboard shortcuts needed to be edited and defaulted, the "Primary Variant" function took over the "Return" key.0 -

Fortunately, the JPEG QuickProof format has returned to CO5 (for Mac at least).[quote="Drew " wrote:

The Enter key has been assigned to the Compare Variant feature in CO5 by default. Fortunately, you can assign it a different key and use the Enter key for Capturing tethered. How? In the Capture One menu, Edit Keyboard Shortcuts, you duplicate the keyboard set and knock yourself out with the keyboard changes you like.
Note that you must use the Enter key of the main (QWERTY) part of the keyboard, not the numeric keypad Return key.0 -
Thanks for the replies. I now understand the way that CO5 processes images depending on which recipes are selected, so I see that JPEG QuickProof is indeed faster than normal JPEG processing with your own parameters.
Paul, when I duplicate the keyboard shortcut menu, the capture function is no longer displayed for editing to your own preferred shortcut. Seems that you are not allowed to change that one.0 -

This is an (unofficially?) known bug. Try again (that is, delete the duplicate set and create a new duplicate) and one day...0
