Purchasing C1 online in UK

I am in the UK and I am interested in purchasing C1 LE, but want to ask why the software is $99 and EUR99.
$99=£53
EUR99=£68 (+25% VAT!!!!)
The VAT I can understand, but why can't I purchase the software in dollars rather than Euros. No other site forces me into buying in Euros.

    Since you are in the EU, you must abide by the EU laws.
    Any E-commerce site within EU must abide by the laws as well.

    Thanks for that, but 2 points:
    1) why don't you make the price more equal? $99 is around EUR76 not EUR99. Not to mention the 25% VAT. Why is it 25%? In UK it is 17.5% and other countries a lot less. Why do I have to pay EUR123 ($160) instead of $99?
    2) never had this situation when ordering ANYTHING from the US before. I've bought dozens of items from many sites, including Amazon, B&H, etc. etc. and have always paid in dollars. Why is Phase One different?

    I apologise profusely Keith. However, it is not possible to find how to contact Phase One from the website as the 'Contact Us' page does not really have any relevant contact suggestions for a user apart from these forums. In fact clicking on 'Technical Support' just takes you back to the home page!

    You can buy LE for £69 at www.warehouseexpress.com. I think this price is with VAT.

    Maybe you should visit some of the dealer websites of the phase one webpage:

    Thanks Leif. In fact the Warehouse price is £74 inc postage, so compared to the $99 (£53) it's still very expensive. Cheaper than the EURO deal though that's for sure!
    I checked out all the other dealers on the page earlier today, and found that no-one except Warehouse Express sell the LE edition - only PRO.
