So, my question is: Is this possible? Can you change the white balance for the preview on the back using only C1Pro? If so, HOW?

Yes, when I may assume you are shooting tethered with the P65+ to CO Pro 6.

As for the HOW: Go to the Camera tool on the Capture tool tab. Set the white balance with the eye-dropper in the Camera tool or adjust the WB with the White Balance tool on the Color tool tab. After you are satisfied with the WB value, click in the SET button in the Camera tool. This will upload the WB value to the camera back and become effective as the WB value.

Note: I am not sure whether this will prevent the short 'blue image' to appear.
Note that this option is only available for Phase One backs (and perhaps Leaf Aptus II backs, not sure).

Paul, you've got it correct. I've run into the same thing and setting the WB for the back (and, transitively, the assigned WB for the images coming in) removes the blue "preview".

Note that if you don't set the back's WB in c1, attempting to open the .tif (raw, not processed .tif) in PS will give you the blue WB and have your clients freak out.
