Deleting older and beta copies of C1
Gidday
How do users delete older copies of Capture One and/or beta versions without losing recipes, etc?
Deleting these seems to delete output recipes, although workspaces seem ok.
I could restore the recipes from Time Machine, or I guess, make a copy of the Library folder before doing anything, but I hoping (probably naively) for a more seamless process.
Come on you experts - any suggestions?
TIA

I've always simply moved them to the trash and never lost any recipe. 0 -
Moving the app to the trash is all you need to do. Recipes are stored in a folder within Application Support (in your User Library), and preferences are stored in a .com file in your Preferences folder. You don't need to remove any of these AFAIK.
BTW: my experience is that it's wise to have backup copies of your C1 App Support folder and preferences, especially if you're involved with beta testing.0 -
Ok.
Thanks to you both.0 -
I've found that just downloading the latest version of whichever CO you're using replaces the previous version and so far I haven't encountered any problems. 0
