Performance on Mac Pro
I have installed the 4.5 Pro Demo on my Mac Pro - 8x 2.8 Xeon, 8GB RAM, Nvidia 8800GT, Leopard(10.5.5).
That is a fairly fast machine i thought.
So what do I have to do to make this program run in a speed that i can work with?
Is there a way to turn off the automatic preview?
Every movement of a slider causes a 2-3 seconds lag.
Is there a way back to the color picker tool when the move tool is just not deseletable anymore?
Why does a strange Import Window shows up when i want to temporarly switch to the move tool by hitting the space bar?
BTW: Capture One has just crashed in the background while writing this post...

Well, I'm glad that I'm not the only one seeing this Preview lag. 0 -
Well clearly there is an issue here, I have the same Mac Pro and see the same problem. Do you have the broken batch rename issue ie first image not renamed?

I just wrote this under another topic...but yes same issues
Why does 3.7.9 run faster on my MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz 4Gb 320Gb 7200 and my work tower 3Ghz 8core MacPro 8gb RAM than Capture One 4 Pro? Yes they are both running 10.5.5 yes all the latest system and app updates are installed. Are they not upto spec? I'm not a photographer, I'm a digital Tech working in Sydney running a Rental Business I own 2 Phase One Backs and a canon Mk3. I work with a broad spectrum of photographers in fashion and advertising, all of whom refuse to use C1 pro4. If you could please reply with some use full information other that just "it is fast" because that just adds to my frustration.0 -
I'm running on a quad 2.66GHz Intel MacPro (not the newest but still pretty current hardware) and 4.5 is SIGNIFICANTLY SLOWER in operation than 4.1.2. I've been using 4.1.2 and have gotten used to the interface versus 3.7.x and would love to use 4.5 Pro for the the customizable tabs but the overall slow operation of the program and the delays in moving from one image to the next make it unusable for me. It's been too long since I've used 3.7.x to compare but new versions of software are not supposed to get slower and 4.5 is definitely much slower than 4.1.2.
