Default thumbnail sort in image browser
This question has probably been asked multiple times, so sorry... (but I haven't been able to easily find the answer).
Is there a way to set the default thumbnail sort in the image browser? It seems permanently set to "Name" and I'd prefer one of the other choices. If I change it to something like "Date" it only retains that sort order for that session, for that particular folder.

No,
The sort order by default is by name ascending and unfortunately it cannot be changed in the most recent version.
The selected sort order is persisted on the per-folder basis in the session file.

I would love to be able to able to change this as well..
Its especially annoying how it reverts to "name" after my first shot even if changed at the beginning of the session.0 -
My default sort order is Date! so it is possible, try changing it to Date and then save the desktop. 0 -
Dave,
Are you using a Mac? Save the desktop?
It is so stupid to not allow the user to change the sort order to something other than Name.0 -
Ah, Yes I am, sorry didn't know it was different on a PC. 0 -

Agreed. This is so simple and basic. This should have been done years ago.0 -
Just one of the many fetures of v3.x that they did not bother to bring over to v 4,5 or 6. 0 -
Do you mean Save the workspace? cause that didn't work. I'm using a mac.
I start a newe session. I set the sort to Date. I save the workspace. Take a capture and the sort switches to "name"0
