transfer photos from one catalog to another

    I'm not aware of any such way either.

    You could just copy or move the catalog to the local drive, then delete any images in the duplicated catalog that you don't want.

    I use the catalog in a referenced mode, so that the images can be on external drives but the catalog database and previews are on the local drive. I've never actually stored any images inside the catalog...

    The new catalog is a referenced one - that's why I try to move the photos from the former catalog to this new one...
    And since the storage capacity on the SSD is quite limited I'd love to keep the photo-files on my external HD.
    Perhaps someone from PhaseOne has some idea on how to get this job done...

    In that case - with all the images references outside of the catalog itself - have you tried to just copy the small catalog to your SSD then, and open it with Capture One?
