As I run Windows only, and nothing tethered, I don't see the point yet of downloading it.
I'll wait to see if anyone on Win 7 sees any improvement.

Well, I was curious and gave it a run. Started in on a set of folders with about 70 photos each.
I got the memory usage up to about 1.5G with open CL in "auto", then it crashed - more like locked up as it got stuck trying to focus.

Like you Jim I am waiting to see, so I have not installed it yet.

I still get slow down with 6.2.1 especially with opencl related adjustments such as peripheral exposure lens corrections which after a dozen or so images have a lag of several seconds. Hoping for this kind of thing to improve.
No crashes for me with 6.2.1. but I only process usually 100 or so per import at one go.

    Win 7 pro. 64bit 6gb ram i7 920

This version now appears as an auto/manual update. Of interest I should point out that this download is the first one I have ever seen where a login was not asked for to enable the download.

As I pointed out in another thread, I found some new problems with this new version, so I have gone back to 6.2.1
