catalog backup setup
hello,
because I thought the backup was only for catlog itself, I set "Enable Backup" on, when I create my catalog.
Unfortunatly I notice P1 also backup the raw file.
As I have not enough space to save both database and raw file in the same disk how can I modify this setting?
Is-it possible to only save the database and related file without raw file(already saved in by an other way)?
regards

When I import files into a catalog, I set the "Store Files" control to "Current Location". This causes C1 to only store information about the images in the catalog and leave the actual image files where they were.
Using this setup, only the information about the files appears to be copied during the C1 catalog backup, and not the image files themselves.
I backup the raw image files separately.0 -
It seems that JMR is confusing two kinds of backup.
The Enable Backup setting in the import is for creating a backup copy of image files during import. It is basically not a catalog (or session) backup, it is a backup of what you import. It does not backup your catalog database!
Backing up your catalog database, which never includes images, is controlled from the Preferences > General tab. You can also do it manually from the File menu.
