Raw Developers Technical Comparisons
This website have a nice technical review (about resolution and sharpness) of RAW developers (includes C1 v4)
http://www.imx.nl/photo/technique/raw_d ... _shar.html
What do you think about this review? Do you try some comparisons beside C1 and others RAW Developers?
Because C1 are the "most slowly update/upgrade software of the world" i am think serious about change to Adobe LR... Maybe this review above help me to make a right decision.

It is very interesting but there are a some information missing in the review:
1) CS2 I am assuming that really what has been used is ACR 3.7 or whichever version is available with CS2 plus CS2 sharpening
2) I am assuming that output sharpening has been used in CS2 - i.e. are we comparing Unsharp Mask with Capture Sharpening in other converters or only the sharpening tool available in ACR?
3) I am not 100% clear if what has been used is the raw conversion alone with no sharpening added or if sharpening options on every converter have been used and to what level i.e. default or tweaked to the reviewer taste
In any case from what I can understand when reading the article, C1-4 is doing quite well unless I do not understand the charts at all.
If anybody has a better understanding of the content of the review that would be great.
Thank you.

When it comes to workflow nothing beats Lightroom, but when it comes to color accuracy and getting the most out of a Raw file it's not that good.
I used lightroom for almost an year with my Nikon D200 and the results were far from perfect but acceptable. Now, using the Nikon D3, i can't get decent colors out of it. The skin tones are awful and there are a lot of blown highlights in almost every photo.
The D3 made me come back to C1 and i'm glad i did it. Although the C1 4 interface and workflow are a bit hard to get used to, the final results fully justify the learning curve.
So, i guess there's no best raw converter. It all depends on your actual needs.0
