Use the reset feature of the crop tool. It will reset the crop of all selected images. You'll find the tool's reset in the tool's title bar (curved arrow).

When I do that it removes ALL adjustments, ie, exposure/contrast etc etc. How do I make it apply only to Crop?

while on an image with no crop applied - go to adjustments panel and choose select none.
so all of the checkboxes are blank.
then check the "crop" checkbox and copy that adjustment setting. you can even save that as a user setting.
then select the images and apply it.
so you are copying the no crop setting of that file and applying to the others.
i do it with star ratings also when I need to clear ratings sometimes.

That is erratic behavior (seen here before, IIRC). I can not reproduce that. Do you run CO 6.4?

Make sure you're not using the main reset button on the primary tool bar. The crop tab has it's own reset button which will only reset the crop setting. Look closely at the crop tool title bar. There are four tiny icons on the right. Use the third one.
