Workflow Question regarding Sessions
*QUOTE FROM viewtopic.php?f=46&t=15419&sid=7da706d4c4fe4bd22f25744549bb8fae*
I take the occasion of this reply to ask one thing.
I have the files already in the disk with an already existing good folders structure and I want to start handle the files with C1 through sessions (let's say one session for each image folder). I could create the various sessions and point them to the specific folder but my final aim is to have the session file and sub-folders (output, trash...) inside the already existing folders structure. How do you suggest to proceed?
Thanks and regards
Massimo

This leads me to believe the files are already on the computer and therefore this entire "import" step is unnecessary.
A session does NOT require you to import, the tool is only there if you have files on an external storage device. If the files are already on your computer, simply create a New Session and point the session to the folder of images you want to access.

File>New Session
Session Name = Same name as the folder containing your RAW files
Location = Parent folder of folder containing your RAW files
This simply puts the Session file, Capture, Output, Selects and Trash folder within your already existing folder of RAW images.

No. If you read the question of mcphoto, before Drew answered, you'll notice that the starting point was that these folders already existed and are now 'transferred' into session folders.0
