Updating folders

How can I update a folder without having to update the subfolders?
Right clicking on a folders gives sometimes two, sometimes three options but always with subfolders.
I was hoping this was changed in MP SE but I was stupid enough to upgrade first and then look in this forum 😕

    If no one can respond, send in question to support. They take a couple days but in general do get back to you with an answer

    tray to pack and drop only the selected folder to MD.
    right Mouse on the aimed folder select Update folder active,
    this should works, if not MD support .

    i dont understand this workflow.
    Main folder should not bee updated but only the subfolder ?
    sorry i don't get it to use.
    if the subfolder ist independently to used, why its hide under main folder ?
    i used MP only to C1 Session folder, all my pictures inside are showing well and updated every 1 min.

    for this special workflow, write to MP support please.

    Thank you for your answers! Due to the holidays my reaction is a little bit late.
    @ CAPTURE NIKON D700: I have the raw files as a sub folder in the (main) folder with the processed files. I don't want to see the raw files in MP.

    OK i understand now you workflow,
    i think there is away in the filter setting to deselect RAW files showing in MP, many DAM App have this integrate inside
