    Hi,

you said you "capture" an image. Does this mean that you're shooting tethered? If so, sorry, I can't offer any help.

However if you take images with a camera (written to its storage device) then all it needs is to hook the camera to the computer and copy the file(s) to a folder on your computer. Or you could take out the card and put it into a reader of the computer, then doing the copy. Then you open C1 and via C1's "Library" toolset (which works similar to Win Explorer) you point C1 to the folder where the newly copied files are. Done this, C1 should start to create the previews according to the size settings under Edit/Preferences/Image/Preview Image Size. Those files should be stored in a subfolder of your image folder under CaptureOne\Cache\Proxies with the extension .COP

This applies AFAIK to the work in Session mode. If the Catalog stores the file in the same locations I don't know.

I just rebuilt my laptop and was forced to start using version 8.1.1 as I could no longer use my version 7 license code. (why not?) Anyhow, I've been using it on a two day shoot and several times each day, as I capture an image the new file will appear in a pixilated form and never snap to the rendered preview. I will have to click on a previous thumbnail then back. No good. It finally gets so bad that I have to restart the app. Several times a day. I did not have this problem with version 7

    What's the fix?

FWIW I can run C1 V7 on my Win 7 notebook using a V9 licence. It won't run if another version instance is already in use. I was able to do the same with the V8 licence.

If I run V8 under the same licence I use the last released version. I see no reason to run with 8.1.1 although I suspect, from memory, there may have been a need to upgrade some files at a later version after 8.1. (It might have been for 8.1 rather than after).

    HTH.
