Openning Photo Shop from CaptureOne v4.8.3
Help, please...
I am trying to C1 open PS automatically after a photograph has been PROCESSED.
After RIGHT clicking on PROCESS RECIPE a list of options appears but OPEN WITH is not on it.
Where is the OPEN WITH option found?
Thanks for your help.

On the Process Recipe tool (Output tool tab) I find listed:
- Format
- Compression (TIFF) or Quality (JPEG)
- ICC Profie
- Resolution
- Scale
- Sharpening (checkbox)
- Open With
Click (=left click) on the Open With drop down list and select the application or select Browse.0 -
Peter,
Many thanks for your speedy reply BUT to put it mildly I'm still confused. The basis if the confusion is what the "Process Recipe tool (Output tool tab)" is. Is it the gear like icon that turns orange?
If the "gear" icon is clicked on a new window opens; then if "PROCESS RECIPES" is RIGHT clicked on a menu appears WITHOUT "Open With". Actually none of the items on your list are there. (Please see the ttached "JPG").
Where am I going wrong?
It is a true puzzle to me.
Ciao,
Tom

Tom,
Your JPG image did not attach. Never mind.
This is how you confused me and in the end yourself:
The confusion comes from your first post mentioning PROCESS RECIPE and in your second PROCESS RECIPES (note the plural). The CO4 (non-Pro/DB) version have only a PROCESS RECIPE tool on the Output tool tab. The CO4 Pro/DB version however, have the same tool plus the PROCESS RECIPES tool to define multiple recipes which are individually setup in the PROCESS RECIPE tool. By default CO4 Pro/DB comes with a Untitled Recipe. You can add and remove recipes and select/deselect recipes in the list. Because of the right-clicking behavior you mentioned I can safely assume you have a Pro/DB license active. The list that comes from the right-click has to do with tool management, not with the tool itself.
Again: never mind the confusion. I suggest you look at the video tutorial on the Phase One web site were it is all explained. Please come back with question if any. Find the tutorial here:

Go to the Go For Pro tab, Video Tutorials (down left), Output tool (down right).
Have a nice day.0 -
Hello Peter,
As you suggested, clicking on the P1/C1-4 link and selecting the “Tools and Sessions†tutorial quickly answered my question. Now PROCESS(ed) photographs come up in PS.
I’m sorry for the confusion you suffered at my hands with my verbage. Being somewhat of dyslectic for over seventy years sometines my typing &/or my mind gets ahead or behind the real world, it is a truly bore…
Many thanks for your patience, advise and hand holding.
Ciao,
Tom
