It is a great news that you offer a discount to upgrade to Pro8 for the users of the former Express versions!
This is a very impressive one!
The former months, you offered already a nice 50% discount on pro7 and pro7 upgrade. It was clear that it would announce the v8 some times after, but those who chose that path (express7 -> pro7) recently to lower the cost of upgrading to v8 get a mixed feeling with the today super discount on pro8!
Morality: don't think about cost, the marketing will always surprise you!

    I was surprised today when I found out that I had to pay for an upgrade after purchasing the software 38 days ago. If I had just stayed on the trial, and not purchased a licence 4 days after downloading, I'd be paying just once. Not to mention I purchased Media pro to go along with it and it crashes constantly, can't even catalog all my pics. I love Capture One, but having to buy twice during a period of time less than the trial period really makes me think again about switching from Lightroom. Even Adobe is more reasonable than this.

    This hurts me a little bit too. I bought CO to CO Pro upgrade at Aug. 14th (100 €+VAT) and a month later I must pay another 70 € + VAT to stay up-to-date.

    Dear Sir or Madam,
    I would like to complain and report of problem with your service.
    I have bought CO7 on the 21st July 2014 (it's been 57 days). The program doesn't work properly. It's not saving my personal settings of my desktop - every time I close the program, it loses and forgets all my settings. If I have to buy actualisation for CO8 in order for it to work, I'm very displeased and disappointed by the behaviour of your company! Radek

    Ive bought several different software packages in the last few months to move away from Adobe and they have all done this lately, offering discounts that actually meant I was paying more than if I had just waited out the trial period and bought the new version outright.
    I contacted each of them and they offered additional discount, I havent contacted Phase one yet but perhaps they may offer the same?

    What's crucial here is that if you did purchase v7 in July in the 50% sale - as I did - then you're not paying more to upgrade to 8 than if you bought it outright. 7 to 8 upgrade is €69.
