Saving sharpening setting as default

I purchased CO LE recently and everything so far seems to be working fine except that when I try to save a particular setting in the focus tab as my preferred sharpening setting, it always goes back to the programs' default sharpening which is softlook -35. I've changed the setting up in preferences, but when I open an image in the preview screen it doesn't have my sharpening setting as default. is there something I'm missing?

    You seem to have it figured out.
    New images that you bring into Capture One will have your New Default settings.
    Images from Sessions already loaded into Capture One still have the old configuration.
    Adjusting 1 image to desired sharpening, selecting and applying to all others in the Session will take care of this.
