Canon EOS-RP CR3 file
Am a royal user of C1 since V.8.0, have been updating all the way thru 12.02. I was wondering whether I would
update to 12 from 11, or not. But decided to go as it said CR3 was supported, and I would buy EOS-RP which
outputs CR3.
Canon released EOS-RP yesterday and I tried it today, but, the CR3 file does not appear in session thumbnails.
Am I doing something wrong? Or, should I wait for C1 update?

It needs not only for the CR3 file format to be supported, but the specific camera to be supported. If the Canon EOS-RP was only released yesterday, it is unlikely that Capture One would have support today! You can see the list of supported Canon cameras here . Support for the EOSR was added in version 12.0.0 but there is no mention of the EOS-RP yet.

OK, thanks.
I thought CR3 of RP is in the same format of R's.

The cameras seem to have different sensors for a start. The EOS R is 30.3 MP, while the RP is 26.2 MP. Phase One always test every camera model to build their own profiles for it before releasing support.

We hope it will be faster than the M50!
But I understand the challenge and I respect how well C1 manages its camera support.
I did start a ticket on this and I feel that it is important to do it to le C1 developers know the demand, if any.0
