    I don't think so. In fact, the Color Editor doesn't really work with shades too near pure black or pure white (I've also found that it doesn't work well to modify other shades where R, g, and B values are approximately equal.

    There are some things you just need a bitmap editor like PS or Affinity Photo for.

    Color Balance can do this, to an extent

    Only way I can think of is by manually masking the white areas and then using color balance, white balance, or the levels/curves RGB channels.

    It can be done but as already mentioned there are better programs for this type of work.
