from Windows to Mac
I'll be switching from windows 10 to a Macbook Pro soon.
I have two questions:
How do I transfer my catalogs to the mac? Just as they are? No conversion needed?
What about TIFF files. Do I need to convert these to Mac TIFFs? I read something about another byte order..?
Thanks for any help

Strongly suggest and encourage you to contact Phase One Tech support before you venture further concerning the process in making the switch. 0 -
Yes, because I am not sure catalogs are multi-platforms... 0 -
@soyin,
the answer is depend on - are your images saved into catalog or are you using referenced images.
If your images are saved into catalog you have nothing to do - copy catalog directory to Mac and open. If you have referenced images there are some things to do.
And Tiff is tiff there are no Windows Tiff and Mac Tiff 😊0 -
Your "Mac TIFF vs PC TIFF" question is interesting. I know that Adobe apps let you specify byte order, but I've never understood why. Once upon a time, applications were "big-endian" or "little-endian" (Mac is one, Windows is the other; I forget which is which), but I don't know that it has any effect on TIFF, which is a standard file format. 0
