Color Readout doesn't reflect changes in color editor

Hallo,
I'm evaluating version 7.1.3 Pro on Windows and added a Color Readout to the picture. Adjustments made in the Color Editor tool, basic section are not reflected in the Color Readout. On the other side adjustments made with the saturation in the Exposure Tool are reflected. What is the purpose of the Color Readout if not all adjustments to the picture are shown?

    Hi Stefan

    I tried this for myself, and the readout did reflect adjustments to the sliders in the tool.

    Did you first select a colour with the eyedropper for the Color Editor to work on?

    Other than that I can't think of an explanation for the different behaviour we're seeing.

    Are you working on a layer. I have seen that when using layers and the color tool you get no changes. But go to the background layer and make changes they show up. The colors do change you just do not get the before and after values.

    There are no layers in the photo, so I assume I'm working on the background. This is what I do:

    - set a Color Readout
    - click the Pick Color Correction Tool in the advanced section of the color editor
    - select a color and change saturation/brightness/hue
    - no changes in the Color Readout

    Then I added a layer and made some color corrections on this layer, then switched back to the background layer and now the Color Readout changes according to color changes.

    Then I deleted the layer and again no changes in the Color Readout while changing the color.

    Looks like that a new layer changes the behavior of the Color Readout. But I think I should work all the same regardless of the layer state.

    Have you tried to check mark "View selected color range" in order to isolate the colors subject to adjustments? This offers good help to see the changes particular if you use Basic.

    I tried that too, but no change in the Color Readout. I'll rise a support case on this.

    The result of the support case is this:

    To see changes in the color readouts, a proof profile has to be activated which was not the case for me. As soon as I selected the recommended 'Select Recipe (Default)' option inside the 'View' menu, everything is working.

    Do'es it meant that View --> Proof Profile was set for No Proof Profile? If the case, was it set by you on purpose or just set by accident?
    This is an example were we are rather dependent on an effective support Group with a prompte feedback.

    It was set by myself when I started working with C1. Earlier I used Capture NX and there the default color space is set inside the preferences and used for the editing. Soft proof is then turned on to see the impact of a specific color profile for printing. Thought this is handled the same way in C1 but that's what manuals are for..
