I don't understand, there are posts of tethered shooting crashes with C1 4.1 all over the forums --well, at least the important ones-- and there is no response from Phase One whatsoever, that I know of, about it.

No big problem for me since I just use the earlier program, but what do you do if just spent 27,000 $ on a back that you can't connect?

I'm sure we are missing something and there must be a "correct" way to make 4.1 work, but. Total silence? should we worry?

ok, I will come back later to see if there is word from Copenhagen...

Word from New York (or in todays case O'Hare airport Chicago)

What do you do if you spent $27,000 and cant connect? Simple: Create a support case and you will receive support in a timely fashion. Your local dealer is also a fantastic source of support. In fact we train them to be your first responders when you experience troubles. (as a matter of fact I just wrapped up a training seminar today)

We supporters respond to questions on the forum as we have time, however many days we do not have much time to devote to the forum, but you will always always always recieve a response on the support system.

My first suspicion however relating to tethering problems with 4.1 may be tethering problems in general. Can you still shoot to 3.7.8? What about to CF card? Best plan is to create a support case and we can go into more details of your situation.

Thank you, but for what I see --in this and other forums-- I am not the only one having the problem, the problem does not exist in pre-C14, so I suppose that it is intrinsic in the new version of C1.

I am mildly interested in using C1 4 since it is not the PRO incarnation yet, and same as you, only have limited time away from work. So don't know if it justify the work of debugging it.

I wonder if someone of the owners has followd the support case...

My primary interest is shooting tethered with my D2x and perhaps a D3 in the near future. CAN IT BE DONE? And if not why? Is Nikon reluctant to let go the reigns? I have a strong dislike for the Nikon NX Capture. The "Capture" part of that is a lie, by the way. I'm told you have to buy another piece of software from Nikon in order to shoot tethered.
I'm currently shooting to Nikon Capture 4.1 (?) on a Mac Book Pro and feeding it into Lightroom, which I love, but the whole connection thing is fairly slow when shooting a raw file and the client is breathing down your back.

So what's the skinny? Any one know? Or do I have to sell my Nikons for Canons?

    hi Carmine,
Tethered shooting with DSLRs - apart from the Phase One data backs already supported from 4.1 onwards- is one of the features of the upcoming CO 4 Pro, expected later this year.

The best is to use the "hot folder" function in C1 4.1.1 whith the nikon camera control software

Thank you for your replies, I'll keep an I on the release of the new software. Meanwhile, with all I have read there seems to be a certain amount of frustration amongst people using this software. Have many of these bugs been resolved? I'm not interested in going from one nightmare software into another. Does anyone know if Bibble Pro allows simple, hassle free, tethered shooting?
