    But ... what is really the problem that C1 uses all of your memory. It's free, right?

    But, in any case i would suggest not to put all of your images in one folder, keep it to a handy 200 / 300 images. This is not really restricted to C1, i know a lot of other converters/libraries that get inexplicable behaviour once you get above that. Especially if you have high MP images.

    I completely agree, I have been working fine with LR and 6 GB of RAM, no issue at all.

    tried C1 7, and the computer crashed once and again. Bought 16GB ram, now having 20GB and also having problems, every time have to open terminal to purge the inactive memory.....
