C8 crashing when certain folders are opened

Recently upgraded to C8 from C7. Have noticed certain specific folders cause the program to crash. Other similar folders open without problems and images can be edited. Running OSX 10.5 on a macMini. Have deleted plist files in library without improvement in this behavior. Not positive, but think this started occurring after Apple updated from 10.4 to 10.5. Any ideas to try to solve this problem?

    When experiencing crashes with CO8, i would open a support case.

    Capture One 8 does not support the 10.4 or 10.5 OS.
    Unless you mean 10.9.4 and 10.9.5?

    If it's just certain folders that cause this then the first guess would be it is certain files within that folder that are at the root of the issue. Splitting the contents of the folder into two halves, and slowly repeating this step to narrow down which file(s) are at fault is the fastest way to find the cause.

    Thanks Drew. I am using 10.9.5. I exported some files to a different folder and have been successful in opening them in C8 from the new folder. In the problematic folder, there was xmp data associated with the image file. I did not export the xmp file, so don't know if that was causing a problem. I have started a support case.
