C1V5.0.1 crashing
I have not used Capture One for a few days, and now when I open it it keeps crashing. I am using a folder of images kept on an external Firewire 800 drive on an iMac. Has anyone else had problems?

Gerry,
Launch the default session in the User Pictures folder. That should run fine, from there you can dig into why the other session or folder (in the external) is giving you issue.0 -
Thanks Drew. That seems to have resolved the problem and got me back to square one.
I have the 'rogue' folder in two places, one on my main hard drive and the other external, and both seem to be a problem which suggests a corrupt file. Any idea what I should be looking for?
Thanks again!

If you're lucky you can organize the files by size in Finder and one will either be too bloated, or too small, to be a viable file. If that doesn't get you results then the easiest way is to take 20 minutes and split the folder in half, see which half crashes the program and keep halving the folders. Soon enough, after plenty of halving, you'll be down to your problem file. 0 -
Good advice, thanks!

Following your advice of dividing, and then dividing I finally got down to 4 possible tiff files, and then finally eliminated the rogue one and everything is now working as it should be. A pretty tedious process but well worth the effort, so thanks again.

Gerry,
Happy to help. If someone else reading this post is fastidious enough, perhaps a simple apple script could take the work out of that method?0
