    Chrono Sync.

    Will sync everything - images, ratings, metadata, etc. I work in sessions but you should be able to sync a catalog bi-directional.

    Just googled what it does. So, i need another paid app to do it? Isn't there some other solution that is already included in C1P?

    Honestly, no. C1 isn't really designed with the use of multiple computer systems in mind. Frankly, most photo catalog software doesn't work supremely well when spread over multiple computers or even network storage.

    You may find another third party app that will do an okay for synchronization, but as a digital tech who is managing assets on commercial shoots for a living, I have to agree with Edward51 in recommending ChronoSync. Especially because of the well designed "archive deletions" option - that's saved my rear on more than a few occasions.

    That said, I'd look very closely at your catalog workflow - the catalog features in C1, in my opinion, aren't quite ready for primetime and I recommend using an organizational method (file & folder structure) that isn't really dependent on software to function well. I actually do all of my RAW adjustments in capture one, but I use Lightroom to manage my archives (using everything except the raw processing in LR), but everyone has their own method.

    Good luck!

    Yes I highly recommend it for all types of backups. Essential if you do any photo work or other workflows with a lot of files. There's no reason C1 needs to have sync built in, no one else does that I know of. I use it to backup multiple drives on shoots and to backup post production work. Especially since C1 has so many settings, ratings, metadata, etc. that are almost impossible to backup manually if you need to go back and forth on different drives.

    Btw $40 and they say free updates for life, can't beat that.

    As Brian said - I would as recommended a folder structure, where inside is each job or day is its own session. This forum is littered with C1 catalog issues.

    Just about to try this myself;

    thought you could "process" the ~2.5M images from your catalog in "Pictures" database (on a Mac) and then just rebuild that catalog with your changes, which will then change your images (in non-destructive fashion of course) in your storage area

    No?
