Catalog Corruption
I was importing Fuji X-T3 RAW images this morning and got an error message resulting in C1 crashing. I could then no longer open my catalog (corrupted) worryingly the back ups also failed to open with the same message.
C1 hung so badly that I had to hard power off my Mac and re-boot. I had to restore the catalog from TimeMachine in the end.
Subsequent re-import completed without issue (it was only around 25 images) - Has anyone else experienced this?

I would suggest that you create a Support Case and send in the Log files for some analysis by the support team.
Given the severity of the result it sound like a system problem that left something lying around in the working area of the drive that also prevented your backup file from opening. However that is speculation and it would be much better to have the Support Team take a look at the logs.
