Exported file size doesn't match capture estimated file size
Hi
I've been using a process recipe to export low resolution files with 150 pixels short edged 72 DPI sRGB. Capture 1 estimate the file size to 19 kB I get 385 kB. Once I exported to my Web server the file size is 19 kB. Maybe I am missed a setting somewhere? Does anyone here know what this is and how I can change it. Thank you.
Cheers,
Mikael

This is most likely due to the additional thumbnail that is created for the OS. You can switch it off in the output recipe. Look into 'Output' - 'Process Recipe', 'File' tab and tick it off.
When showing file sizes, Mac's Finder adds the size of this additional information to the actual file size, while Windows Explorer ignores it. That thumb is not transferred with the actual image, therefore it seems to become smaller.
The 'ls' command in the Terminal should show you the 'correct' size without overhead.
