Tonality Pro and Capture One 9?
Hi,
I can't seem to get "Edit With..." to work with Tonality Pro. It launches Tonality Pro with the tiff image just fine, but when I save/quite Tonality Pro, the image doesn't come back to Capture One, like it does when I use photoshop, for example.
Am I missing something, or is there a limited set of applications "Edit With..." works with?
Thanks

Please send a tiff created with the software to our Support, and let them take a look. 0 -
Apologies in advance if you're already be aware of this, but all MacPhun apps save the file in a proprietary format (not TIFF). As such, Capture One won't recognize the file when it gains control again. You'll need to do an "Export" from Tonality instead of a "Save", choose TIFF as the file format, and make sure that it's the same name and location as the input file. Bit of a pain, but worth it given the functionality of the MacPhun apps. 0 -

BTW, the same is true of Affinity Photo, which saves images in a proprietary format and you need to export to get a TIFF or JPEG that C1 can use.0 -
There clearly is a different level in support between C1 and LR.
In LR, you can open an image in a MacPhun app, edit it and then simply "Apply" it (t's a big green button in the toolbar which saves the edits to the TIFF that LR created). LR then picks up the changes. Done. Obviously, you're not keeping the native format, but the round-trip is quite smooth.
In C1, the MacPhun app doesn't allow you to save the TIFF. Instead, as you mentioned, you have to save/export it with the correct name and in the correct location (and MP doesn't offer the original folder as default — argh@!). I'm not sure who's to blame, but LR proves that the integration can be much easier than it is now in C1.
Maybe it's just an argument that needs to be passed when launching the app? I've contacted MacPhun support for more info.
BTW, you know what would be great? That you could create presets for "Edit With…"
Cheers,

Well, they were kind enough to reply real quick, but unfortunately it wasn't the answer I had hoped for (surprise!)
Hi Peter,
Unfortunately, Creative Kit apps can not be integrated as plug-ins for Capture One. I`m afraid that the only one workaround here is to choose File-Export.
However, I`ll forward your request to our developers, so they can consider the possibilities of adding the plug-in Capture One possibility in the future updates.
Sorry for the inconveninces!
Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
