I think that MP does not yet recognise edits done in C1 v11. I haven’t yet tried adding a v11 session into MP, but my experience is that v10 edits are recognised and displayed.

It would be help us if you tell us which OS and App versions you use.

C1 v11 is not supported by Media Pro (OSX and Windows)
C1 V10 under Windows don't work with Media Pro (BUG)

    Using OSX Sierra 10.13.1
    C1 v11
    MP 2.2.0

Is it likely to be supported soon, bit of a joke that it doesn't read an edited file if that's the case?

Last time, when C1 was updated to version 10, there was a Media Pro update that supported C1 10 edits in June 2017. It is always impossible to know when and if Phase One will update one of its apps, because they make no advance announcements. But I hope that we will see an update to MP supporting C1 v11 sooner rather than later.

    Thanks Ian,

I've basically been migrating from Lightroom to C1 and wanting to use MP to catalogue my work, not exactly great news when you pay roughly AU$300 for a companies software that can't read its own files.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean with "not exactly great", but C1 hat DAM functionality too. Maybe it would be enough for you.
I switched to PhotoSupreme - because I'm now windows user and C1 Catalog is very slowly.
