Additionally, I have tried to process them in 6.3.3 and 6.3.2 with same result. Shot on a 5dII, files are EIP. They were first saved on a Macbook Pro Lion and later transferred to a Mac Pro with 10.6.8, same result on both computers so nothing to do with transferring.

It sounds like the component in the software that controls the processing is not running.
I would suggest you create a new session and then relaunch the software. From the new session, access the same files and process using the same recipe. The New Session will handle the directory information differently from the old one.
If this does not solve the issue please create a support case so we can have a closer look.

    Thanks Drew.

I have tried your suggestion but it doesnt really work. I can get some previews however it stops after a short while so something seems to wrong. I have tried with three different projects shot at different times. Still the same.
How do I create a support case?

    Thanks!

    1. Try clearing the Batch History in the Batch Queue.

    2. Can also try deleting all the files in the Batch Queue folder. Library-->Application Support-->CaptureOne-->BatchQueue

I've found that either of these worked for me sometimes when C1 stopped processing out Quickproof JPEGs.
