Yes it is, within the licence you have activated (i.e. Pro or Pro for Sony, etc.)

As and when V10 comes out you should expect top budget for an upgrade fee.

Within the same version number, any "point" release, the general principle is that it comes without extra charge.

If you are on a subscription deal one would expect the change of Version number to be seamless as well.

    HTH.

DO NOT DO IT! 9.3 changed A LOT OF SETUPS from previous engines, 6, 7, 8 ,9.... DO NOT TOUCH IT. ALL THE PHOTOS HAVE A LOT OF EXTRA SHARPENING, NOISE REDUCTIONS. etc etc.......... A piece of junk junk junk. SHame shame shame.

I'm running on 9.3 without any troubles, haven't noticed any Extra Sharpening or out of place Noise Reduction...

I have not seen any problems either (using sessions). I never have had problems updating.

However some people seem to have a long history of reported challenges over multiple releases.

It's difficult to guess how and why that might be the case although there are a few situations that would clearly cause some problems if files were not where they were supposed to be at the end of the process.
