Duplicate Name Numbering
I have an issue with files being renamed with the same name/number and a sequential number that Capture One automatically adds to the file name. For example:
Well, because the script resets the naming counter each time we end up with duplicate file names and Capture One adds on a space 1 to the name.
Original name: FILE1234567890_01.jpg
Duplicate name: FILE1234567890_01 1.jpg
Does Capture One allow you to change this behavior via a preference? Would be amazing if it knew what sequential number was last and rename after that. That empty space gives us issues with our other processes.
- * we shoot one product (item #1) and batch rename (via a script)
* Move on to the next product (item #2) and batch rename
* Realize that additional images are needed for item #1, shoot and rename using the script.

While Capture One won't recognize what the latest counter number was used in the folder, you can set it manually under the ellipse (...) dropdown menu in the Batch Rename tool. 0
