    Hello

    ONLY way for Capture One to delete a range of images is for you to highlight a range of images and press Command, Options, Alt and Delete at the same time.
    Other wise they are in your trash can.

    If they are not in the trash can I will suggest you use some kind of recovery program to recover the files. And look in to the health of the hard drive in place, it can of course be the file system consistency that is not ok as well.

    thank you for your prompt attention. Following were what exactly happened last night after shooting. 1. Files are in trash can had been deleted after shooting. 2. When I used P45+ shooting, the file was ok. 3. When I used 1DsmIII shooting, it had no problem,too. After shooting, I opened the 1DsmIII file again, but it couldn't open, and Rrw file only had Icon left, and the size down from 23 mb to 0 kb. 4. I checked the hard drive, it had no problem. I used two computers shooting, and all had same problem. 5. I used recovery program, but it couldn't recover the file.
    Now, what can I do to recover the file ? This is quite urgent, I had two business cases yesterday and now I need to arrange everything to reshoot. I really have a big headache now, please advise me ASAP.
    Previous mail was written by my assistant whose English is not so good. Hopefully this one you will understand the whole picture.

    Hi,

    We have had a problem today. Some cr2 files have been corrupted, back ups are OK. The files were fine on import, then while editing we shifted some files into another folder using C1, and did a few style tweaks on the moved files. Then during processing we noticed some C1 previews weren't matching the tiffs (this is another problem we have encountered before when we have had to rename which we do with v3 because v4 rename doesn't work with our files, which we fix by trashing the preview and cache folders).

    However, this time we discovered to our horror that some files (looking at them with Finder) have a thumbnail but preview is black, some have black thumbnail and preview, some were blank with only an adobe cr2 icon. The black files are between 3-16mb, the blanks are 0kb. Not just the files that had been moved were affected, some of the rejects were as well.

    Bear in mind, the files were perfect upon tethered import, we have good backups. The only software that looked at them was C1 v4.5, and the finder.

    I have never seen software damage a raw file before. You might want to treat this with urgency. I will post this as a new thread as well, and we have left a phone message with Tony at dtek.

    I had the same problem after using 4.5 this week.

    I've been trying to give C1 Pro4.5 a fair chance.
    I Shot tethered with Canon 1dsmk3 all the files were fine (they rendered at 100% and I processed Low Res Jpegs)
    The Images were fine when editing.
    But after editing I went back to process some Hi res files and about half the images in the shot folders were corrupt (I'll post some screen grabs)
    I was unable to recover these images, I was backing up after each shot. The backed up copies are fine, and I'm now using 3.7.9 the process these files.
    I've had my laptop checked by apple who have not reported any drive problems.
    I almost lost a client over this.
    I'll be sending a support case this weekend.
