You need to select the Spot cursor tool in the toolbar to create/move/resize/delete spots.
You can then delete or modify spots also from the tool itself.

    Isn't working here neither.
It did work in the Beta version however in the final release there is something wrong.
Actually it's self explaining: set the spot size and point dots or spot in the image. The spots will be stored (so you can remove them at any time).
It works very, very good! However we have to wait for a fix unfortunately.

    Great news 😄

I wonder what I´m doing wrong then ❓ I mean, how hard can it be ? I mark the spots with those ´circles´...but they won´t vanish 😕

Try looking at them in 100%. Are they gone then?

Try also to change of tool when done… (hand or arrow instead of spot tool)

Oh ! Strange...works for me anyway...

Don´t know how it is on Mac but using Windows when you click to change font, a window opens and in the bottom-left corner there is the box where font color can be changed.

Well quite the same on Mac…

    Weird! this morning it works!

Something strange… I had some 'small' issues like this (spot cleaning) and get solved after a restart of the software… Anyway, good improvements!

I guess the standard film curve has been largely improved (before I had to use the linear curve to get the best HDR, but having to deal with contrasts, curve and saturation) now standard film curve + auto exposure + auto HDR is a pretty good start!

BTW still lacking for me would to have an auto Chromatic Aberration to put in my 'style' Due to my work I nedd CA correct most of the time… And till now I have to set it manually, image per image. Of course I understand that it works independently for each image, but no more no less than auto exposure…

    Navigation Tool.

Somehow i cant browse with the curser over it.. it always only shows the full frame - not the tiny part of the zoom..

Am i to stupid or is it a bug??

But.. i am very happy so far.
A lot of things i was missing from 3.xx is in 5.xx now.. AND.. it is stable so far.
A stressy shoot with a 5Dm2 and a P45+ did cause not even one crash 😊

Are you mistaking it for the Focus Tool? The Navigator is the opposite of the focus tool. When you have zoomed in on the main viewer, it shows you what part is zoomed in with a small box on the preview. You can move that box to control what part of the total image is displayed in the main viewer.

The Focus Tool should be placed in the same tab and shows a zoomed in version of what you pick with the focus tool (you can also pan the focus tool using the hand).

Instead of showing proof-boarder why not implement full-image-view (like photoshop can)?
Would be great also for selcting images only with the picture and some shortcuts !

It would be great if it could work on the focus tool and the zoomed main picture alike.. dont you think?
Moving something like the navigator is a lot easier than moving from face to the shoes on a p65 image ..
But.. so far.. really an improvement.
Phase One did finally came back to a professional tool for professionals.

You can easily move the focus of the Focus Tool. Try right clicking the focus tool and you get a mini navigator right by the cursor. This also goes for the main viewer when you have the hand tool selected.

the focus tool actually works like the viewer.
You can also double click and the image is zoomed to 25%... if you prefer to move the image in that way.
But actually right click is handier.

I cannot get the navigator to work unless I don't understand the purpose of the rectangle in the navigator window. Moving it around does nothing in any window that I can see. And I couldn't find any mention of navigator in the manual.
    Any advice?

you need to zoom the image in the main window and you will see the magic happen 😉

C1 V5 not working at all for me. Tried endless things removing every file/folder I can find and reinstalling a number of times but I still get thumbnails fail to generate and the program just does not run. No response at all from Phase One support requests THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! IT IS MY LIVELIHOOD THAT THEY ARE SCREWING UP BY LACK OF SUPPORT. I am seriously thinking of changing over to Lightroom, which I really dislike.

A seriously pissed off C1 customer.

There is a thread over at

    http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11309

Which troubleshoots some common installation issues. I hope that it helps you successfully resolve yours, as version 5 is a very worthwhile upgrade, IMO.

    Hi all,

I'm noticing a few bugs in v5, but this seems like a real replacement for v3.x.

It's nice to see QuickProofs are back, but the processing pane reports their estimated size incorrectly. Wasn't this an existing v3.x bug? The processing summary says the resulting file size will be ~12 MB from 5DII files when they actually end up being < 1 MB.

Tabbing through editable fields in the Details pane is partially broken. I can't tab from sharpening amount to radius, for example.

I've seen erratic behaviour in the processing queue. Sometimes when I have more than 100 files in my queue I have difficulties deleting all of them. If I select all of them (command + a) delete will not do anything. The work around is to shift-select a range of images, leaving at least one image unselected, and delete those. Then deleting the last file works properly. Occassionally I'll need to relaunch the app to delete the full queue.

And finally, I've noticed a few times where when switching to different folders in the Library, the browser reports "No collection selected". Switching to any other folder reports the same message. All folders seem empty. Relaunching app is required to fix this situation.

These last two bugs don't happen often, but when they do it's a pain.

    Thanks.
