Composition tool tab missing
Howdy!
On all the tutorials etc I've watched, alongside Exposure, Library, Capture etc on the top left buttons, there's a Crop symbol which is said to be the Composition tab? I don't have this, and when I right click the area and do "Add Tool" or "Add Tool Tab", it's not there to select either. ("Add Tool" does have Crop, but this just adds the Crop tool on the column on the left, eg with the Next Capture Naming Tool and Curves etc etc.
I know that I can access pretty much everything like Overlay, Crop etc in other areas in the program, but feel like it would be convenient to have them all under this one button. Any ideas?
*PS. How do I actually apply a crop? In the sense of, get rid of the semi transparent border showing the whole image around my newly cropped area.

You simply select another tool such as the hand (press h on the keyboard). There's no need to formally apply the crop in CO, which saves one useless step compared to Lightroom. 0 -
It may depend on two things.
Whether the video is relating to an older version which may have had slightly different standard tool tabs and menu options displayed or, perhaps, a tab had been revised to suit the presenter's preferences or a new custom user tab had been added.
C1 is extremely easy to customise to your own requirements to define and save workspaces that suit your needs exactly for the different parts of your normal work flow - if you so choose.
Some people never customise anything.
Some like to change everything they can.
Most, I suspect, make a few small changes to the default offering.
Customised options will usually carry forward to new versions but sometimes there are some changes presented that may mean a few edits are required to add new features or, in some cases, remove options that have been deprecated or significantly changed.
