Import Failure and Rendering

I just downloaded trial version 1.2 it takes about 2 seconds to render an image on my 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad Mac vs almost instant rendering on Expression Media v 1.0. Also, the majority of files failed to import the data created in Expression Media.

I'm excited about the new release but am worried about switching because of these issues.

    Why excited about the new release?
    At my knowledge there is almost nothing new functionality or better performance than EM.
    So, why not stick with that?
