    Hello,
I am having the same problem. I was thankfull for this in 3.7.x and now I really miss it!
I often jump between sessions and it is a mess to change the destination folder every time :-/

Just put a chekbox in the preferences to choose "same destination as capture"

where is this checkbox ..i am running the windows version of CO 4.5 PRO and I cannot find a checkbox like this anywhere?

It is very inconvenient to have to manually set an output folder every time...

    thanks

It isn't. Andreas stated it as a request.

    Hi there.
Does anyone know if it's possible to make the source folder the default output folder in the latest upgrade of C1 (V4.6)?
It has been a real showstopper for my use of C1, since I mostlikely will forget to select different folders for the files I prosess , and need to manually find and move prosessed files to their rightful folders ☹️
I'm using my DAM application (Idimager V4) to select files to process, and they may be picked from many different folders at a time, and therefore it's annoying to possible have to change the output folder for each picture I prosess

DPP, ACR, Bibble, Idimager and RAWTheraphy have all this as an option. It must be real easy to implement this in C1 as well, and a few more customers will be satisfied???

+1, at least as an option in preferences.

The first thing I do is to right-click the current folder in the folder list and choose set as output folder. My processing recipe is set to create a subdirectory ("JPGs") so the develops go there.

go into the process recipe tool, advanced tab.

in the 'sub folder' option put in something like develops or whatever you want your output folder called.

Below this there is now a 'root folder' option (new to 4.6?). if you select 'image folder' it all works just like 3.x used to. no more remembering to set your output folder everytime you change source folders!

This works good. Thanks for the tip. However, when I select my "Output" folder in "Session Folders" under the Library tool, the browser goes to "Output" and not my new subfolder that I created. Is this normal? Or do I have to create a Favorite for this new subfolder?

Actually the feature in this thread involving "process recipes appeared in V4.5 I belive. IF you set up a process recipe, and under the advanced tab there fill in the three fields, naming the sub folder "develops" and the last choice "Image folder"...everything for that recipe proceeds as in 3.7. You do not have to steer to or create a folder. I'm not sure about your question....seems to do with the Library function, not the topic here...I'd start a new thread on that....
