Colors are getting darker and more black after export
When i import photos in raw into capture one the colors are getting darker. I have srgb proof profile, and my display has srg in display settings. But after i make export originals the photo has original normal colors. But after export variants the colors are much darker with unknown shadows. Not only shadows but the colors have different look.
Support can not solve this problem, so can anyone help me with the settings. it is a very good color editor and i want to use it, but the problem with the colors prevents me from doing it.
Thank you very much for help.

I have never tried "Export" so your question suggested it would be a good time to have a look at it.
Export original copied the RAW file as I expected. Export Variant I ran 2 times, once for TIF and once for jpg, both times setting the ICC profile to sRGB and both files look the same on screen at normal viewing size. This is true for viewing in Capture One and another viewer.
My edit for the tested file takes the exposure down about .75 and lightens the shadows with the HDR tool and ads some clarity and sharpening. I get exactly the results I expected form the exported files.
What sort of checks did you make when looking at the problem with the support team?
Did you use sRGB when exporting the variants? TIFF or jpg (or both) ?
Which camera(s) and file types do you use?
When you are editing the files do you have a Process Recipe selected? If so, what settings does it have?
I would guess that you have been through all this already but just in case that is a bad guess I think people may wish to know in some detail what has gone on so far before they would feel comfortable making suggestions.

When i import raw photos into c1 they already are getting darker.
If i export originals they look normal. But after i convert them into jpeg with Srgb profile they look much darker. More shadows appear. Support is telling me to set srgb profile in my display settings which is already done. After that no idea what to do and support is telling me to contact local distributor so they can help me with the settings. But it is ridiculous because it is a trial version and it should be working correctly
I suspect that problem might come from my display settings. When i look at the color profiles of my display there are several profiles installed. Maybe i should delete all of them and leave the only srgb profile?
Do you have severeal profiles for viewing?

It does work correctly, Alex - or we'd all be complaining about it.
This is something unique to your set-up, so that's where your attention needs to be focussed - like Grant, I get exactly the results I expect when I export.0 -
Alex,
Most monitors/screens could have several different profiles available. In theory we should all colour calibrate our screens and set the optimal brightness values before starting to edit.
I fact many modern screens, like the one on my notebook, do not seem to work well with the calibration tools so I gave up with them - apart from brightness. Screen brightness and ambient light can have a big effect on the results of any processing.
However what you are saying is that the images are darker as soon as you bring them into Capture One before you have done any processing? Is that correct understanding?
What program are you using to view the RAW files before importing them? Also after exporting them.
The Exported original file should be just a copy of the original file so I would expect that to look the same as the original.
Are you using a catalog or sessions?
If you open a session and navigate to the folder the RAW file is in WITHOUT IMPORTING IT, what does it look like displayed in Capture One? Is it any different to the imported version?
Can you share and example of a problem RAW file on a file sharing service so that people could investigate whether they get the same results that you get when opening the file on their systems?

Yes. After I import photos into c1 they change colors to more dark. It doesn't matter is it session or catalogue - no difference. For viewing photos i use nikon product viewnx2 and windows photo viewer. They clearly show that there is a change in colours. i printed several photos by official photo printing company and the colours in viewing mode are as printed. So nikon viewnx 2 give the correct colour reading.
The only option as i understand is to install a new windows 8. The problem might disappear after that.
Look at the photos. One is original converted into jpeg (from raw format in which colours are the same) and another from capture 1 export variants0 -
sorry, but how do add photos in this forum? 0 -

You would need to load them to a file+ sharing service and then provide a link. Something like Dropbox or Onedrive for example.
Better still would be to share an original NEF file through the FIle Sharing Service so that a few people can try your file with their systems to see if they get different results. From that it may be possible to work what is happening (assuming some people get the results you get and others do not.)
