Capture numbering sequence

Shooting tethered canon 1ds 2.

Why does the numbering sequence continue from previous file number instead of starting from 1 when using new file name?

Am I missing something?

    This has been the behavior all through Version 5, and probably 4 as well.
    Not sure what the intention is, but I think many users can agree that it is annoying.

    I'm all for an argument of why it *is* this way.

    Create a case for it though.

    I also noticed V6 doesn't have the drop down menu for the last 10 file names used.

    They added the drop down menu for the sessions list, but you can't delete individual sessions from list. You can only clear the whole list. Why?

    Add new camera support for 3.7.9 and I'd be willing to pay for that, but I'm not willing to pay for this new version.
