can't open C1 4.5 Pro

Recently installed C1 4.5 Pro for Windows but have had many problems getting it up to par. Finally uninstalled it and all previous Capture One installations. Tried a clean C1 4.5 install, seemed ok until I click the icon to open program. Get a window which states "Missing Captue One Session" ..."The application cannot continue without a session file. You can choose to create a new C1 session, locate a session file or quit." Well, I hit the button "create" then a new window appears with "Capture One has unexpectedly stopped working", I then have a choice to quit or send a crash report which I have done. I have also tried to locate a session but there is no session to locate because I can't get the program to work. Has anyone got any ideas how to resolve this problem? Thanks guys, all your help would be much appreciated.
