Cannot migrate sessions from C4 to C5 without crashing

I have just upgraded from C1 4 pro to C1 5.01 pro; OSX 10.6.2. Every time I try to open an existing session, I get a box labeled "Open", stating that the session needs to be migrated to version 5.0. When I click "OK", the program crashes with the spinning beach ball of death, which requires a force quit. How can I view old sessions? Why will it not work? HELP!

  Go to http://www.phaseone.com -> Support -> Contact Support
  Tell them to try to convert your 4.8 session files
