blur background
Is there a way to strongly blur the Background of an image? I tried using an adjustment layer and the negative slider values for "clarity", "structure" and "sharpness" but that doesn't blur the Background strong enough. I would like to blur it in a way as if it was out of focus (shallow depth of field).
P.S. Sorry for my hillarious username, but there is currently no way for me to edit it. And I don't know where to report this bug. When I go to "Edit Profile" on phaseone.com under "My Pages" there is no Input field where I could enter a username.

I tried creating multiple layers with the same adjustment and it didn't get the results I believe you are looking for.
I keep Photoshop CC on hand for such things.
C1 is a fantastic raw editor, but special effects should be left to other softwares.
You can easily create a recipe that sends a tiff file directly to photoshop (or any outside editor), for such "touch ups"0 -
You can try to stack 3 layers with Negative Clarity and Sharpening adjustments but after 3 layers it will start to get strange.
