Picking Colours for Split Toning
Hi guys,
Is there any way that I can 'pick' a colour within a photo to use within the Colour Balance or Colour Editing tool? Lightroom does this (very helpful) and I've used it in the past to create a more cinematic feel to images. Currently, if there is a colour within the image that I'd like to use as a base, I have to try and approximate with the colour balance tools. It would be handy if I could simply use a pick tool or something to grab the colour I want.
Is this do-able, and I'm missing a keyboard shortcut or something, or will this have to be a feature request?

There's a pick tool in the Color Editor tool, to the right of the color wheel:

There is, but unless I misunderstand it, that is to 'pick' a particular colour range within the image and tweak that colour. That's not what I'm after. I'm wanting to pick a colour from within the image, then use that colour to tint/tone the entire image with it. 0 -
OK I see what you mean. I don't have much experience with split toning, but maybe you'll find more useful info there : http://blog.phaseone.com/colorist-pov-c ... one-pro-9/ 0 -

Unfortunately there is no "pick"-tool in the Color Balance tab.
But on the other hand you are able to adjust the colors in the highlits, midtones and shadows seperately!
Something that is missing in LR.
You can open a support case for a feature request, maybe P1 will implement it in future updates.0
