Close Tool
Mac 10.5.5: C4.5 Pro - hopefully:))
go to 'close tool' and the palette disappears, not to return. rebooted C4, still not there. Anyone know where closed palettes go to & how to get them back? in this instance it's the colour editor palette.
Thanks in advance
(At the moment I feel PhaseOne have produced, or rather unleashed upon us a 2 wheeled tricycle. Where's the promised stitching facility?)

CTRL+click the grey void at the bottom of the tool area. Reselect color (sic) editor from the tick list.

And there is more to it...
I had the same experience a few days back. Closed a tool (fun to make something disappear!) but was not able to make it reappear (scared!).
My resue came when I discovered the PRO/DB feature of CO 4.5 of making new custom tool tabs and populate them with the tools you like. You can either Ctrl+click on the tool tab bar (with the 12 symbols) or go View menu, Create New Tab.
New tabs can be removed, default tabs not, but you can alter the tools on the default tabs (add/remove/change order).
Last but not least, you can drag a tool from the tool tab, making it a floating palette you can put anywhere on your screen(s). The same way you can move it back.
Oh, and already you discovered the expand/collapse feature of tools, allowing to access all tools in (laptop) screen with not the highest resolution? This is a general CO 4.5 feature, not exclusively for PRO/DB. It was one of the highly anticipated features (translated from: hugh amount of complaints) of CO 4.0/4.1 and I think Phase One did a great job here.0 -
Great.
It is like play a playstation game where you have to cheat to know something..... 😊0 -

Strikes me as the wrong attitude from PhaseOne. This is (allegedly) a professional piece of software, not a computer game. I've got ,& I'm sure many others also have, better things to do with their lives than try to discover hidden nintendo type cheats to be able to operate it, even to a fairly mundane level. It would be bit more useful if 'help files' were more comprehensive for starters.
To my mind, C4.5 is still in beta & a two wheeled tricycle in need of the third wheel to stop the rider falling of & it falling over.0
