Still no support for compressed Fuji raw files

Here they'll tell you that it's not their fault and to put in a feature request with Fuji.

Once you put in a feature request you'll get a response saying thanks and that it's considered solved.

They also need to get OpenCL acceleration working with Fuji Raw files.

Just need enough people to do it for Fuji to finally realize that it's worthwhile. They have acknowledged the need.

I don't understand - how is this a request for Fuji? They have already implemented the compressed raw format, I am just looking for C1 to support it, as many of their competitors do.

I sometimes like to take part in raw processor comparisons (as a C1 advocate) in the various photography forums. Increasingly, the posted raw files are compressed, and I can't take part.

With the release of Irridient X-former on Windows, there is now a legit workflow for Fuji files on Windows for LR. I'm sure the Fuji market isn't particularly large for PhaseOne, but they have had a leadership position there. If they do not support compressed raws, that position will slip & evaporate.

You can open these DNG files in Capture One Pro, not just LR. You will have to turn OFF sharpening in Iridient x-Transformer or C1.

I think you're probably overestimating the importance of Fuji support to Capture Ones' market position there...

That is true, and that's one way to get access to Fuji's compressed raws, but if I have to resort to a two-step workflow I might as well go Adobe with LR/PS.

Probably. But I can at least try to get their attention before I switch.

Have you already created a Support Case?

I have created one a while ago.

It's a hard fact that Phase One is directly influenced by volume of interest - as indicated by support cases - in its prioritisation decisions. This has been confirmed by staff on here many, many times.

So if Phase One isn't being buried in support cases for compressed Fuji Raw support, it's going to stay in the lower half of the to-do list.

Posting on the forum isn't really considered equivalent to raising support cases.

I have not, but I will. Thanks for the heads-up, Keith.

Here is the answer to my support ticket:

We are continually looking to expand the userability of caputre one for our photographers. Please look to future updates for expanded capabilites.

    A little unspecific? 🤓

Thats how it always is, then they mark the support ticket as Solved.

+1 on this topic. I'd find support for compressed RAF highly desirable. Will also create a support ticket.

Almost a month later again... still no support for Fuji Compressed Raw.

Meanwhile Fuji new 24mp X-trans III models that support Compressed Raw are sold out about everywhere.
