get rid of erroneous keywords please?
How do we get rid of erroneous keywords on a bunch of stuff? I erase them one by one and they come right back.

How are you deleting the keywords?
When you do it in the info pane only the keywords belonging to the selected images are deleted. The 'master' keyword is not so it displays in the list.
When you delete a keyword in the organize pane (rightclick the keyword / delete term) you get a pop-up "Terms will be deleted from the catalog and removed from all related media items"). In fact, the 'master' keyword here must be gone now. However, this only counts for the present catalog. To remove the term entirly, you could remove it from the Keywords.txt. This file can be found (on windows systems) on: Driveletter:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\MediaPro\Plug-ins\Vocabulary\Default

P1 above thanks.
trying to remove from selected thumbnails window.0 -
Ok. When removing keywords from selected images, the keyword is only removed from these images. When there is still one image in the catalog with this Keyword, it will stay present.
To remove a keyword entirely, folow my instructions above

Thanks. It sounds like every item the catalogue will lose this keyword that I want to remove from just 18 selected images??? 0 -
Hmm, i'm affraid i do not understand your question.
1. When you want to remove a keyword from ALL images and from the catalog itself, you can follow my previous instructions.
2. When you only want to remove a keyword from 18 images (and not the rest), you should NOT follow my previous instructions but do the following:
Scenario 2:
- Select those images where you want to delect the keyword from
- Go to the organize panel into the keywords and find the keyword you want to remove from the selected items
- Right click on the keyword and choose the option 'Remove term from selected media items'
You best sync the catalog with the images to assure the keywords will stay away:
- Keep the images selected
- In menu go to Action / Sync Annotations and choose the option Export Annotations to original file. Select the first 3 options (so not the GPS field)
Hope this wil help?
